Location Sound Recordist/Sound Editor
Stuart is a graduate of the SAE Institute in Glasgow and a dedicated sound recordist and mixer. During his degree he specialised in location recording, live recording and post production and has brought this experience into play on the set of Solstice.
An accomplished musician, composer and former chorister whose training began at Wells Cathedral School in Somerset, Stuart decided to follow a vocation that combines his love of music with his enjoyment of audio engineering. He has worked on films, live music, events and developed a passion for wildlife filming. Now that he has settled in Argyll, he is on the committee of Oban Pride and helped to set up GH Productions Argyll. You can contact Stuart on Mandy.com or by email to email@example.com
Second Location Sound Recordist
Sophie is an aspiring sound designer, sound recordist and composer (as soapybubl) with a range of experience in different areas of audio.
After graduating with a BSc in Audio Technology with Electronics from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2016, Sophie has worked as a freelance location sound recordist on a variety of different film projects shot all over Scotland.
In addition to this she has been doing sound design for several shorts (credits include the award-winning ‘Remember Me’ by Katie Low), online content and a feature film with post production currently in progress.
In her capacity as composer on other projects, her previous soundtrack works have included several indie short films (credits include ‘Darkling’ by Martina Amoretti), a short film trailer shown in the GFT, various student-produced games and podcast content.
A resourceful and dedicated member of the team, Sophie has greatly enjoyed working with Stuart and the team on the sound aspects of Solstice.

On-set Production Photographer
Eilidh has taken some of our on-set production photos whilst we've been filming Solstice and you will see some of them on the website as well as social media. Here's what she told us:
Hi, I’m Eilidh. I’m a 22-year-old photographer based in the village of Taynuilt, near Oban.
Being brought up in such a lovely place inspired me to get out there with my camera in my adolescent years and as the years went on, photography went from being a hobby to my passion. The beauty of the land and sea continues to inspire me every day. The diverse weather conditions, the light and the varied colour palettes all make for very contrasting photos meaning no two photographs are ever the same.
Although landscape photography was my first interest, I also take photographs of weddings, properties, businesses and events. I love new challenges and carrying out other projects.
More recently, I opened a Craft Shop called Turadh, in Taynuilt. We sell a mixture of local crafts and clothing from brands including Seasalt, Weird Fish, and Regatta. There is a huge number of talented and creative folk around Argyll which is very exciting for businesses like mine.
